NVIM will host a talk by meditation teacher and Somatics practitioner Oren J. Sofer

Oren has practiced meditation in the Theravada Buddhist tradition since 1997 and has taught Nonviolent Communication since 2006. He began practicing Dhamma in Bodh Gaya, India with Anagarika Munindra and Godwin Samararatne and has been a long-time student of Joseph Goldstein and Ven. Ajahn Sucitto. He holds a degree in Comparative Religion from Columbia University, is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner for healing trauma and a current participant in the IMS-Spirit Rock Teacher Training Program. He brings a clarity of insight, natural presence and deep care to all of his work and teaching.
