Special Guest Teacher Fresh “Lev” White

January 31, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

NVIM is now meeting at the NVUU in-person only on Tuesdays at 7:00pm. Following the current COVID guidelines in our community, masks will be optional. Full vaccination is strongly recommended to attend. (See complete Guidelines below).

This Tuesday, NVIM warmly welcomes Lev back to our sangha. Lev is a love and compassion activist. He offers mindfulness, coaching, mediation, and diversity trainings as tools for shifting towards more authentic, conscious and passionate living. He teaches and writes about how love and self-compassion are the ultimate gateways to loving and understanding others; thus, healing our communities, and planet. Lev is also co-author of Real World Mindfulness for Beginners, Ed. with Brenda Salgado and is mindfully grounded at the East Bay Meditation Center, as well as a graduate of Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leadership program. NVIM COVID Guidelines for Attendance (updated 10/1/22):

  • Full vaccination (2 COVID shots and at least booster) is strongly recommended.
  • Social distancing between chairs will be maintained for those who choose.
  • Masks are OPTIONAL. If you feel comfortable, you do not need to wear a mask. If you are a vulnerable person, or live with a vulnerable person, consider wearing a well-fitting mask during sangha.

When NOT to attend sangha:

  • If you have tested positive for COVID, until the 11th day after your symptoms first started or you tested positive (whichever comes first). This is in an abundance of caution and consideration for our older sangha members and those with chronic health conditions.
  • If you have any symptoms of COVID, unless you have had a valid negative test.
  • If you have been exposed to COVID, until you have tested on day 5 and are negative.

These guidelines are to protect the health of our fellow community members (see this link for more current guidance from the CA Department of Public Health): https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/HomeAndCommunity.aspx”>https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/HomeAndCommunity.aspx
